Drew’s practice focuses on acting for taxpayers in controversy with the CRA including disputing assessed amounts, rectifications, judicial reviews and collection matters. Drew has appeared before the Tax Court of Canada, Federal Court of Appeal, British Columbia Provincial Court and British Columbia Supreme Court on tax related matters.

Prior to founding Schmidt & Gilmour Tax Law LLP with Josh Schmidt, Drew practiced in the tax groups of two national law firms where he represented taxpayers in tax controversy and provided advice on the law of charities (including registration), domestic and international corporate taxation, the taxation of trusts, and domestic personal taxation. Drew previously practiced at a tax boutique focusing exclusively on controversy matters.
